Speakers

Lisa Hämmerli

Lisa Hämmerli works for the Canton of Aargau as a project manager in the Energy Department, where she is responsible for the cantonal energy strategy and carbon capture and storage (CCS). The canton of Aargau is actively involved in the national CCS/NET working group and also participates in the field of carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) within the framework of the Conference of Cantonal Energy Directors (EnDK). As an energy canton, Aargau brings the perspective of an industrialised canton to the national debate. Lisa Hämmerli's work combines strategic planning and scientific foundations: in a publication in the International Journal of Disaster Risk Science, she analyses the social dimension of CCS. She also launched the cantonal CCS/NET study, which comprehensively examines the potential, challenges and options for action in Aargau and serves as a technical basis for the canton's climate strategy.
